Enviro ProcessTanks® & Manholes®
Applications
Aboveground HDPE (PE100) Storage Tanks
Enviropipes manufactures above ground water storage tanks in a single piece up to 65,000 liters using the latest German technology. Enviropipes expertise and technology provide new solutions which until now were not available to the industry.
Enviropipes has the technology and capability to:
- Design and manufacture to clients specifications and industry standards.
- Provide in-house and third party testing.
- Manufacture walk-on work platforms with safety railings and cage ladder for easy access and inspection.
Underground HDPE (PE100) Storage Tanks
Underground tanks can be produced in singular or modular form and joined together to make underground tanks of capacities up to 100,000 litres for sewage and rainwater storage/treatment purposes.
Manholes
Manholes also referred to as an inspection chamber, access chamber or maintenance hole is the top opening to an underground utility vault used to house an access point for performing maintenance.
Advantages
Chemical and Corrosion Resistance
EnviroProcessTanks® and EnviroManholes® are highly resistant to aggressive chemical environments. Further they are externally resistant to aggressive soil (PH value 1.0 - 5.0).
In order to achieve chemical resistance, some concrete pipe producers supplement an additional layer of polyethylene to the inside of the pipe. That way the concrete pipe will be internally resistant to chemicals in the medium to be transported, but not to aggressive soil from the outside.
EnviroProcessTanks® and EnviroManholes® are resistant externally and internally to aggressive chemicals. Polyolefins have a non-polar structure because they contain no double bonds. They also have a high molecular weight and therefore excellent resistance to chemicals and other media of widely varying type and composition. EnviroProcessTanks® and EnviroManholes® are resistant to aqueous solutions of salts, dilute acids and alkalis. Electrochemical processes, which can lead to corrosion in metals, do not take place with Enviropipes Pipes. Only strong oxidizing agents, such as highly concentrated peroxides and acids, or halogens attack EnviroProcessTanks® and EnviroManholes® over a prolonged period of time.
Concrete and steel pipes are very vulnerable to the aforementioned corrosive agents resulting in significant damages and failures of the system, where as Enviropipes Profiled Pipes are resistant from the inside and the outside.

UV-Resistance
Commonly most natural materials and other plastics are degraded by weathering effects, particularly by the combined impact of short-wave ultraviolet radiation in sunlight and atmospheric oxygen.
Black polyethylene pipes are permanently resistant to atmospheric corrosion and UV radiation. Thus the pipes can be used and stored outside without the pipe material being damaged.
Resistance to Micro-Organisms
Polyethylene and polypropylene are not nutrient media for bacteria, fungi and spores, so that the material is resistant to all forms of microbial attack as well as both sulphurous acid and sulphates.
Enviropipes is a specialist manufacturer of large diameter High density polyethylene (HDPE) tanks and silos. Enviropipes utilise the outstanding material properties of HDPE (PE100) as well as advanced spiral wound technology to fabricate storage tanks up to 4000mm internal diameter.
